Dream Job, Synopsis:
A direct cinema documentary exploring an art form bastardised by greed.
The true story of rampant exploitation and abuse experienced by artists within the animation industry.
Artists who have worked in the animation industry may have once considered it to be their dream job, this documentary explores how their dreams have been corrupted into the waking nightmares of exploitation, abuse, financial decline and artificial intelligence. Delicately structured into five chapters, “The Art and the Artist”, “A thankless job”, “Pixel fucking”, and “I am not a Robot” and using personal interviews the film captures what artists have been experiencing for years that hopefully will inspire change. At its core, Dream Job is about the passion for a magical art form that has been bastardised by corporate greed for too long. It's a call to action, it’s time for artists to unite.
